Capel Canines is run by Lauren, a passionate dog owner and mum to Malcolm, the Shih-tzu cross. Having taken Malcolm to many different daycare centres throughout his life, my lifelong dream was to own and run a doggy daycare centre. Malcolm is not just a dog, he is a member of my family and it is so important to me that he has somewhere safe and fun to go during the day while I am at work. Having taken him to Capel Canines several times a week from the day it opened, I jumped at the chance to take it over when Michael and Marie wanted to relocate. This really is a dream come true.
I am lucky enough to have worked in animal related roles in the past and in my spare time I run Essex Dog Day, the biggest dog show in Essex with over 10,000 attendees.
I am qualified in Canine First Aid and am currently completing my dog behaviour and training qualifications.
My philosophy is to be a home from home. Myself and the team aim to provide an environment in which your dog feels happy and content. We also want you to be secure in the knowledge that whilst with us, your dog is safe and well cared for. Everyone involved (whether they have 4 legs or 2), is part of the Capel Canines family. We invite you along to come and see what we have to offer, we hope to see you soon.
